OK, so who am I to give you advice anyway?
Fair question. I have been teaching Teenagers for about 20 years to make life choices, and they seem to have benefitted from the advice. At the moment I have a small class of Indian, white and black teenagers and young adults, so I've had to field questions about funny religions and differing cultures.
But if you don't want to be told what to do, no problem - just stop reading now.
But what about the rest of you guys? (and girls). Do you know how to make life work for you?
OK, no bull. Here's how to get it right.
1. No sex before you are properly married. Trust me on this one. If you're doing it already, STOP.
2. Don't take revenge. Don't try to get even. It does you more damage than it will ever do them
3. Forgive easily. It bounces back on you in the coolest way.
4. Be kind to even dorks, dweebs, nerds, NooBs and the general populace.
5. Remember that you are special, worthwhile and useful. Anybody that says otherwise didn't understand the question.
6. Believe in Jesus. I'm not talking about religion; I'm talking about getting to know the person who designed and made you. Personally.
7. Respect your parents. Even if they're not so great - it'll pay off in the years to come.
8. Don't do drugs. Don't do booze. Don't do cigarettes. What the hell do you want to do those stoopid things for anyway!! Dude, your body has got to last you your WHOLE LIFE.
9. Pornography is addictive. Please guys, don't start. It kills.
10. Be honest. Don't cheat. It won't help you when you really need help.
11. Tell the truth. Always. Hard one this, but it works the best.
12. Work hard. Do your best.
You may have noticed that this is not the way things are normally done in the world around you.
But did you also notice that the world around you is kinda dysfunctional, sad and miserable?
God's way is the way that works.
